C-MAC is organizing on an annual basis the C-MAC European School in Materials Science. This follows the Euroschool organized by the CMA network of excellence from 2006 to 2010. The aim of the Euroschool is to provide a lecture-style background to young scientists, Phd students and graduate students in the field of materials, in particular the physics of metals and metallurgy. Lecturers are invited from academia, research and industry. They will provide lecture on a step by step basis, with tutorial organized so as to practice the notion learned. The first C-MAC Euroschool has been organized in Toulouse, 22-27 May 2011, with title 'Structure and Crystal Chemistry of complex metallic alloys' and gathered about 55 participants. In 2012, the joint European C-MAC and COST CM0904 Euroschool entitled “Intermetallic Compounds in Catalysis” was organized at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden from 22nd till 27th April 2012. Euroschool 2013 and the second international school on aperiodic crystals was jointly organized by the IUCr Commission on Aperiodic crystals and the European C-MAC network. Euroschool 2014 was held in Liverpool in June 2014 with a theme of Intermetallic compounds and energy applications. Euroschool 2015 took place in Bratislava focussing on “Material synthesis and characterization applied to complex metallic alloys”. Euroschool 2016 and the third international school on aperiodic crystals was jointly organized by the IUCr Commission on Aperiodic crystals and the European C-MAC network. The next Euroschool will take place in Split Croatia dealing with “Physical properties I – electrons, phonons and interactions in complex systems”.
